“I am a journalist who, for most of my life, has worked in the luxury magazine world. The first major knock in my life occurred as a result of a breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 54. During that time, I consulted many therapists of different practices. Beverley did not enter my life until I was diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer. All I can say is that she has been a game-changer. Instead of my life being a tragedy, it has, I hope, become something of an adventure since I’ve had hypnotherapy with her. I have had this before with other therapists, but never as successfully. I also have yoga sessions with her. Both are excellent. She has helped me to be more myself, to dip into those areas of joy which allow one to express creativity. She is sensible and immensely knowledgeable, having worked in many different areas of medicine. “I was referred to Beverley by a local charitable organisation that thought I could benefit from her help in dealing with my anxiety and depressive disorder, something I've been struggling with for the last couple of years.  I must admit I was sceptical initially, and really didn't know what to expect. So after 5-10 minutes initially talking with Beverley, my scepticism had evaporated. Just spending time talking about my problems with her helped me tremendously, and that's before we got to the relaxation/hypnotherapy. She is a very empathetic listener and has a wonderful way of emphasising a different way of viewing things and offering positive support. I would absolutely recommend Beverley's therapy service to anybody who may be struggling with stress, anxiety, depression or other emotional issues. “I met Beverley during the first lockdown. I had been in shock that the world of theatre and all that I knew had just stopped overnight. Her twice a week online group HypnoChill sessions at the Groucho Club helped with my deep anxiety that was lurking beneath the surface and that, like most of us, didn't really acknowledge or understand. Following subsequent weekly group sessions, I decided to have a set of private sessions, as I'd got to the point where I hadn't wanted to sing or produce at all, ever again. It wasn't a firm decision, more an apathetic view towards performing or putting on shows. Very strange, like the times we were in. “I was at my lowest ebb physically and mentally by May this year. I had been sole carer for my husband of 45 years who was suffering from Alzheimer’s and vascular parkinsonism. As lockdown took hold, we lost any support we had with family, community physio for his mobility and my own agonising back pain and as it turned out, our own GP's. This was when I was referred for hypnotherapy. The therapist had a wonderful voice and very empathetic manner that helped me realise that hospital was the best place for Mike to be cared for.
